If you no longer wish to use your Appropriate account, you can choose to either deactivate your account (temporary) or permanently delete it. Please follow the instructions below to ensure a smooth process.
1. Access Account Settings

Sign in to your Appropriate account.

Click your profile icon, then select “Account Settings” from the dropdown menu.

Scroll to the section labeled “Account Management” or “Privacy & Security”.
2. Deactivating Your Account (Temporary)

Click the “Deactivate Account” button.

Review the information about deactivation: Your profile will be hidden, but your data will be preserved and you may reactivate at any time by logging back in.

You may be asked to confirm your reason for deactivation.

Confirm deactivation when prompted.
3. Deleting Your Account (Permanent)

Locate and select the “Delete Account” option near the bottom of the Account Settings page.

Read the warning: Account deletion is permanent and will erase all your data, including profile information and usage history. This action cannot be undone.

Confirm your decision by entering your password and, when prompted, a final confirmation such as “delete my account.”

You may receive an email to verify this action—follow the instructions in the email to finish the process.
4. What Happens Next?

After a successful deactivation, you can reactivate your account by simply logging in again.

After deletion, your account and data are removed from the system. If you need future access, you’ll need to register as a new user.
